Wow!  It's May and the school year is coming to a close.

Important Information:

On Wednesday, May 1, inventions are due for the Invention Convention.  Parent invitations should have arrived home.  Please ask your child if you have not seen an invitation. If you have any questions, please contact your child's science teacher, Mrs. Moricz.

On May 1st we will also be attending the Symphony.  Upon returning to school, students will enjoy a pizza treat for lunch.

You will receive information about a special event on May 16th.  It is a reward for all of the hard work children have put in to meet the 40 Book Challenge this year.  Parents are invited, and more information will be sent to you.  Please do not make any dentist/doctor appointment on that day.

On Friday, May 17, students may bring board games to school.

Our students handled the AIMS testing, and they actually survived.  :)

I continue to appreciate all of the wonderful parent support I have received throughout the school year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  Once again thank you for sharing your amazing children with me.

Happy April....

We began to review for the AIMS test.  Fourth grade will be testing next week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Please try to be on time for school.  Students may bring gum labeled with their name.  Snack donations would also be appreciated. There will be no homework during this week.

Students began a study of the Revolutionary War.  They are working with a partner to research a topic and present information to their classmates.

Please encourage your child to read 20 minutes each night.  We are making excellent progress with the 40 Book Challenge.  Hooray!

Our class continues to practice kindness each day, and I appreciate the effort.

Thank you for all of your support.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Fondly,

Kathleen Smith
