Tubac Field Trip is on Thursday, March 21 from 8:30-2:00. During our visit we will have the opportunity to experience what life was like for a 4th grade student in Arizona circa 1885. We will spend our day having lessons in a one-room school house, visiting the Tubac Museum, and making crafts, and watching a demonstration of how the first printing press in Arizona worked.
We will be doing our best to make our day in Tubac as authentic as possible. Students will need to bring a lunch and dress in clothes that would have been appropriate for the time. We have several students allergic with food allergies. Please do not send any peanut butter, nuts, or citric fruit in lunches. There will not be any refrigeration. Comfortable shoes should be worn.
We are looking forward to our exciting learning adventure. Thank you for your support.
This week students participated in the World Education Games. Their enthusiasm was wonderful and so much fun for me to watch.
U.S. Symbols Project is due the week of March 27th. There is a handout explaining the project. Several students have presented projects, and the work has been outstanding.
Progress on the 40 Book Challenge continues to be amazing. As of today 17 students have completed the challenge, and many are very close to finishing. Wow! Please continue to encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes Monday through Thursday.
Thank you for all of your support. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Also, thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me.l
